The American Chamber of Commerce in Taipei is honored to host this special business luncheon inviting Mr Adrian Harley, General Manager Taiwan & Korea, Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd to talk about the challenges facing the Airline Industry today. Mr Harley will touch upon:

  • A brief overview of Cathay Pacific, building up and marketing the brand
  • The challenges of offering a world-class service in such a competitive market
  • Airlines are bad business - the nature of the airline industry
  • Dealing with threats such as low-cost carriers
  • Assessing challenges specific to Taiwan

About the Speaker

Adrian Harley graduated from Cambridge with a degree in Chinese Studies in 1988, after which he immediately joined the Swire Group. Mr Harley’s first job was Assistant to the General Manager Taiwan for Cathay Pacific Airways, and he has been with Cathay ever since. It was his particular pleasure to return to Taiwan after 18 years to take on his first boss's role. In the intervening years Mr. Harley has worked across the globe including positions in Hong Kong, Penang, Colombo, Mumbai, Manila and Frankfurt.

* Non-members whose companies are also non-members of AmCham may attend a maximum of three AmCham events.   
  
Payment for Members

Event billing will be sent to members at the end of each month. Expense for any guests invited by an AmCham member will be billed to member's account directly.

Payment for Non-Members

Non-members who are neither guests nor staff of members must complete the credit card form and fax it back to AmCham at (02) 2718-8182 prior to registered event.

Registration Cancellation

Written cancellation must be received by AmCham 24 hours before the event, or else full price of the event will be charged to member's account.
