The National Committee on U.S.-China Relations will be hosting a fourth annual CHINA Town Hall.

The program will open with a webcast from Washington or Beijing featuring Jon Huntsman, U.S. Ambassador to China, discussing U.S.-China relations. National Committee president Steve Orlins will moderate this 45-minute portion of the program, comprised of a 15-minute talk followed by half an hour during which Ambassador Huntsman will respond to questions emailed in from audience members throughout the country.

About Ambassador Huntsman:
Prior to assuming his current position in August 2009, Ambassador Huntsman was elected twice as Governor of Utah, served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Asia, U.S. Ambassador to Singapore and Deputy U.S. Trade Representative (USTR). At USTR, Mr. Huntsman negotiated dozens of trade and investment agreements for the United States with numerous countries, including China. Ambassador Huntsman’s public service career began as a White House staff assistant to President Ronald Reagan.

About Alexander Huang:
Dr. Alexander Chieh-cheng Huang is Professor of Strategy and Wargaming at Tamkang University in Taiwan. He is also a non-resident senior associate at Center for Strategic and International Studies.
Dr. Huang previously served in the Taiwan Government as Vice Chairman of the Mainland Affairs Council, and has been working closely with the government on foreign and security policy matters. He specializes in Asian and Chinese security and defense affairs. His recent publications include: “A National Defense Strategy for Taiwan in the New Century,” in The Dilemma of “One China” (Palgrave Macmillan, 2008); “The United States and Taiwan’s Defense Transformation,” Taiwan-U.S. Quarterly Analysis, (The Brookings Institution, Feb. 2010).

 

Event Payment

* Non-members whose companies are also non-members of AmCham may attend a maximum of three AmCham events.   
  
Payment for Members

Event billing will be sent to members at the end of each month. Expense for any guests invited by an AmCham member will be billed to member's account directly.

Payment for Non-Members

Non-members who are neither guests nor staff of members must complete the credit card form and fax it back to AmCham at (02) 2718-8182 prior to registered event.

Registration Cancellation

Written cancellation must be received by AmCham 24 hours before the event, or else full price of the event will be charged to member's account.
