Venture on a safari into the African wilderness, where exotic animals abound and tribal dancers prance to blazing bonfires. Guests start out at the elegant Norfolk Hotel in Nairobi, with drinks served on the Lord Delamere Terrace. Next stop is Treetops Hotel in the Aberdares National Park, where Queen Elizabeth II spent her honeymoon (and learned that she was queen when her father died). Then we sail down Lake Victoria—source of the Nile—and have a refined dinner on the River Queen cruise ship. Ball-goers then take a break from the heat as we hike up to the snows of Mt. Kilimanjaro and watch the sunrise over the vast plain, and then plunge down to the Serengeti where guests will be dazzled by the blazing sun and overwhelming expanse.
