The continued global migration to 3G brings great opportunities to wireless ecosystem including operators, manufacturers and service providers. Today there are 830 million 3G subscribers around the world and this number is expected to grow to 2.4 billion by 2013. Operators around the world show strong data growth with the launching of various compelling data services.3G also drives the convergence of internet, wireless and consumer electronics. The expansion of 3G networks, devices and services in countries around the world is enhancing the quality of life and providing expanded economic opportunists, both in the public and private sectors.

About the Speaker

 

Frank Meng is Senior Vice President of Qualcomm and President of Qualcomm Greater China. In this role, Frank continues to lead Qualcomm’s business operations in Greater China, strengthen the Company’s competitive position and expand its role in the local market. Frank previously served as President of Qualcomm China and head of Qualcomm CDMA Technologies in China.

Frank is a veteran of the Chinese information technology industry. Prior to joining Qualcomm, he held senior management posts in various companies.
Frank earned his BSEE in Microwave and Fiber Optic Communications from the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. He earned his MSEE in Communication Systems at the Polytechnic University of New York.

 

Event Payment

* Non-members whose companies are also non-members of AmCham may attend a maximum of three AmCham events.   
  
Payment for Members

Event billing will be sent to members at the end of each month. Expense for any guests invited by an AmCham member will be billed to member's account directly.

Payment for Non-Members

Non-members who are neither guests nor staff of members must complete the credit card form and fax it back to AmCham at (02) 2718-8182 prior to registered event.

Registration Cancellation

Written cancellation must be received by AmCham 24 hours before the event, or else full price of the event will be charged to member's account.
