AmCham Special Travel and Tourism Meeting PDF Print E-mail

Date: Wednesday, 19 August 2009

The Taiwan government is seeking to improve the island’s tourism environment with the sector being identified as one of the six emerging industries. Despite rich and beautiful natural resources, Taiwan lacks connections to international markets, especially those in North America and Europe. Since many AmCham members, such as yourselves, represent multinational organizations that deliver products and services at international standards, AmCham seeks your input to pass on to Taiwanese government authorities on the following:

  1. Taoyuan Airport Terminal Refurbishment Project
  2. Working with the future state-owned company to bring airport management up to international standards
  3. Helping Taiwan better prepare for the meeting, incentive, convention and exhibition (MICE) market
  4. Assisting with internship or training opportunities for travel and hospitality professionals
  5. Bringing international experts or executives to Taiwan to share information and best practices with government officials here

Please feel free to extend this invitation to individuals and companies that are not yet AmCham members.
