COMPLIMENTARY Seminar Series III: Why Most Training Doesn't Work PDF Print E-mail

Date: Thursday, 16 July 2009

There are two facts that today’s knowledge workers must reconcile. The first is, with the world changing faster and faster, unless you’re learning, you’re slowly becoming obsolete. The second fact is that more than 80% of the traditional training that knowledge workers receive is lost soon after they walk out of the classroom. Even if the training appears useful, very little of it can be successfully transferred and integrated into their daily working routine. This means, most training results in a loss of time and money, the two things that businesspeople need to most care about in today’s economy.

The speaker is one of the most sought-after trainers for senior management in Taiwan’s multinational companies. He has been a trainer in Taiwan for over eighteen years. Come to the workshop and learn why most training doesn’t work and what you can do to make sure you’re receiving the kind of training that is not only useful and fun in a classroom but can also be successfully integrated into your daily working routine.

Who should attend:

Anyone in charge of providing training at a company or anyone interested in saving time, money, and frustration related to making learning more effective.

About the Speaker(s)

Sun Tzu wrote, “A battle is won long before it is even fought.” Like war, how successful your presentation is going to be depends on how you plan it.

Most business presentations are lost long before the audience even sees the agenda slide. You must have attended presentations where you feel more confused about the presentation after you attend it than before you walk in the room. You see slide after slide of information, numbers, charts, and diagrams, but very little meaning or insight.
