Date: Thursday, 21 May 2009 As GAAP and IFRS converge, implementation issues are sure to arise. Dr. McCarthy will discuss major differences between the two systems, while highlighting potential roadblocks on the path to full convergence. About the Speaker(s)Dr. Mark McCarthy has taught within DePaul's School of Accountancy since 1979. His major areas of interest are Managerial Accounting, Taxation and Financial Accounting. He has taught at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Dr. McCarthy has been the Director of DePaul's CPA Review Program since 1987. His experience includes teaching at numerous DePaul campuses throughout Chicago and its suburbs, and in central Illinois (for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign), Florida, Europe and Asia. Working with Discovery Communications, he has published a series of educational videos on financial literacy. |
Event billing will be sent to members at the end of each month. Expense for any guests invited by an AmCham member will be billed to member's account directly.
Non-members who are neither guests nor staff of members must complete the credit card form and fax it back to AmCham at (02) 2718-8182 prior to registered event.
Written cancellation must be received by AmCham 24 hours before the event, or else full price of the event will be charged to member's account.
