The American Ball’s Orient Express is set circa 1890 during the train’s first year of direct service to Istanbul. We take you from Paris, where you will revel in the wild and fun-filled 1890s of the can can, proceeding on to a masked ball in Venice (a must stop on every English aristocrat’s Grand Tour) before reaching the exotic, otherworldly Istanbul.

Last year’s theme was a classic vision of modern, elegant black and white Manhattan retro 1960. This year, we are throwing off those constraints. Forget your A-line dresses, your modern simplicity. Come dazzling in the opulence of topaz, ruby, emerald and sapphire; in fact, the more jewels and gold, the better. Pile up the hair in a complicated coiffure, get those gloves out, bring that feathered mask, that enameled fan, that long-forgotten fur. Who knows what might happen on this evening of thrills and adventure. We are taking you on a trip of a lifetime.
