In this training course, you will learn some of the Internet's insides with special focus on creating and publishing content. It addresses the needs of

  • marketing specialists who distribute online newsletters
  • editors and writers who publish content in websites
  • engineers who write technical specifications in intranets
  • advertisers who are involved in e-marketing
  • staff members who maintain content in websites
  • teachers and lecturers who are responsible for a website

All topics are accompanied by exercises in a real live environment (http://training.songfuli.com) with Internet web server and computer for each participant. All participants can edit and publish content in a real web page, upload images to a web server, as well as create e-newsletters and technical specifications based on HTML templates.

The program includes:

  • usage of markup language in blogs and forums
  • anatomy of a web page
  • HTML and CSS structure and elements
  • communication between browser and web server
  • dynamic web pages with Javascript
  • embedding images and multimedia content
  • uploading web pages to a web server
  • understanding character encoding to create multi-lingual content
  • using content management systems to maintain dynamic websites
  • using spreadsheets to prepare mass data for web publishing
  • create templates to facilitate or automate routine publishing
  • creating basic web pages

About the Speaker(s)

Thomas Siegers, Founder and Managing Director, Songfuli Co., Ltd. Thomas is a computer veteran with over 25 years of experience. He has designed computer systems and web sites for both international and Taiwanese companies and organizations. He has also given numerous seminars and training sessions on Internet and IT topics.

 

Event Payment

* Non-members whose companies are also non-members of AmCham may attend a maximum of three AmCham events.   
  
Payment for Members

Event billing will be sent to members at the end of each month. Expense for any guests invited by an AmCham member will be billed to member's account directly.

Payment for Non-Members

Non-members who are neither guests nor staff of members must complete the credit card form and fax it back to AmCham at (02) 2718-8182 prior to registered event.

Registration Cancellation

Written cancellation must be received by AmCham 24 hours before the event, or else full price of the event will be charged to member's account.
