Alcatel entered the Taiwan market in 1973. Today, Alcatel Taiwan comprises the following business units: Alcatel TAISEL (Taiwan International Standard Electronics Ltd.), Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), and Genesys. In October 2004, Alcatel announced its new vision: User-Centric Broadband. UCBB architecture offers opportunities for subscriber personalization and revenue generation associated with new services. Alcatel will continue to enhance or develop solutions and invest in end-user research to usher in a new era of user-centric broadband services.
