AmCham Special Luncheon - Post-ECFA Series
On June 29, 2010, Taiwan and China signed the landmark trade pact named the Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement or ECFA, believed by political scientists to be the most significant agreement reached by Taiwan and China in the last 60 years. After the Legislative Yuan announced the official passage of the ECFA on August 17, 2010, Taiwan and China will establish a mechanism for regular consultation and dispute settlements while further negotiations beyond the “early harvest” list will continue. This obviously is a major milestone for Taiwan's economic development. Does ECFA bring opportunities or risks to Taiwan businesses and its people? Will Taiwan be able to resurge and once again become attractive to domestic and international businesses alike? AmCham is delighted to invite speakers Dr. Raymond Wu, Dr. Daniel Liu and Mr. Peter Kurz who will share their studies and insights with our member companies.
