Taiwan's capital market has a few IPOs lined up!

In 2008, as part of its capital market liberalization policy, the Taiwan government amended the stock exchange rules to actively encourage foreign businesses to list in Taiwan. It also relaxed restrictions on the qualifications of foreign issuers and the use of raised funds. 43 companies are expected to go through IPO this year. While Taiwanese invested enterprises in PRC will still be one of the main sources of deals, Taiwan capital market will start to attract those in Silicon Valley with Asian connection. Many Southeast Asian companies (Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, etc.) will also start exploring the possibilities of IPO in Taiwan. Our panel speakers will share with you on the opportunities and challenges of about IPOs in Taiwan from an investment bank, legal and regulatory point of view.
