Innovation is one of the most important elements that made BASF—the Chemical Company—become a world-leader in its industry. BASF collaborates with 1900 key stakeholders globally to work on innovative projects.

In this luncheon, Dr. Weber will share case studies and lessons learned from collaboration projects of BASF Future Business. He will also discuss the innovation potential for future markets as well as internal and external influences on innovation management. How do you balance people and processes to develop an effective innovative culture? Dr. Weber will also share the roles and responsibilities and challenges that BASF Future Business faces.

New materials are needed for future innovations in areas such as energy, electronics and health. About the Speaker

Dr. Thomas Weber has been CEO & Managing Director, BASF Future Business GmbH since December 2007. After joining BASF SE in 1988, he served as Lab manager composite materials, Pilot plant manager,
Management consultant, Senior Manager strategic/investment planning, Director global marketing acrylic polymers, Business Director paint and coating raw materials, Senior Vice President research department “Solution Polymers”. Dr. Thomas studied chemistry in Siegen and Osnabrück, Germany.

* Non-members whose companies are also non-members of AmCham may attend a maximum of three AmCham events.   
  
Payment for Members

Event billing will be sent to members at the end of each month. Expense for any guests invited by an AmCham member will be billed to member's account directly.

Payment for Non-Members

Non-members who are neither guests nor staff of members must complete the credit card form and fax it back to AmCham at (02) 2718-8182 prior to registered event.

Registration Cancellation

Written cancellation must be received by AmCham 24 hours before the event, or else full price of the event will be charged to member's account.
