Committee Events
For the first time in history, almost anything can become digitally aware and interconnected. The world has become flatter and smaller. Now it must become smarter. Building a Smarter Planet is the next leadership agenda for IBM. It's the company's point of view on how the way the world works is changing. It's also a modern expression of what has always been IBM’s corporate character: PROGRESS. Jon Robison, VP, Marketing & Communications, IBM Greater China Group, will talk about what Smarter Planet, the global initiative, is changing the world, how his organization is accomplishing and what IBM is making it real in 2010 and beyond.
About the SpeakerJon Robison currently serves as the Vice President of Marketing & Communications for IBM's Greater China Group region and resides in Beijing, China. Prior to Mr. Robison's assignment in China, he was the Vice President of Global Demand Programs for IBM's Software Division. Mr. Robison has held a variety of leadership positions in the technology industry for over 20 years including the Executive Director of Marketing for Ascential Software before it was acquired by IBM in 2005. Jon started his career as a consultant at Price Waterhouse. He earned an MBA and Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University.
