In his upcoming presentation, Senator D'Amato will address Taiwan's current standing on Capitol Hill. The Senator will spend the rest of his talk discussing the 2010 U.S. political landscape, including races for the U.S. House, U.S. Senate, and his early thoughts on the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.
About the SpeakerSenator D’Amato is Managing Director of Park Strategies, LLC. The firm also has offices in Manhattan, Albany, Long Island and Washington, D.C. Clients come from, among others, the banking, telecommunications, energy, defense and health care sectors. Senator D’Amato served in the United States Senate from 1981-1999. He was first elected to the Senate in 1980, and subsequently served three terms. During his tenure, D’Amato served as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, overseeing legislation affecting America’s financial institutions, banking, public and private housing, urban development and foreign trade promotion. Senator D’Amato also served on the powerful Senate Finance Committee controlling legislation regarding bonded debt, customs, general revenue sharing, health programs, social security, tariffs and trade agreements.
To cancel without penalty, written cancellation must be received by AmCham 24 hours before the event, or else full price of the event will be charged. Expense for any guests invited by an AmCham member will be billed to the member’s account directly. Membership is on an individual basis. Non-member can only attend at non-member price.
