AmCham is honored to host a presentation by Dr. Hu Sheng-Cheng regarding the proposed Financial Services Act. The presentation will cover the following: 

  • Reforms of financial regulations in the USA, UK, Japan and Korea 
  • Legislative strategies 
  • The Financial Services Act as a special law 
  • Brief introduction to the provisions and their implications for financial markets

About the Speaker(s)

Dr. Hu Sheng-Cheng is the Chairperson of the Financial Supervisory Commission. He served on the Board of Directors of the Central Bank in 2001-2002, was Minister of State in the Executive Yuan from 2001 to 2007, and served as Chairperson of the Council for Economic Planning and Development from 2004 to 2007. He received his Master’s and Ph. D degrees in economics from the University of Rochester. In 2002 he was made a member of Academia Sinica and in 2004 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Economics by Purdue University, where he was a long-time member of the faculty.

* Non-members whose companies are also non-members of AmCham may attend a maximum of three AmCham events.   
  
Payment for Members

Event billing will be sent to members at the end of each month. Expense for any guests invited by an AmCham member will be billed to member's account directly.

Payment for Non-Members

Non-members who are neither guests nor staff of members must complete the credit card form and fax it back to AmCham at (02) 2718-8182 prior to registered event.

Registration Cancellation

Written cancellation must be received by AmCham 24 hours before the event, or else full price of the event will be charged to member's account.
