Tai-Chin Tung, chairperson of the American Chamber of Commerce in Taipei, said she was elated at the success of last night’s Hsieh Nien Fan dinner. For 40 years, AmCham—the largest, oldest and most influential of the foreign business groupings in Taiwan—has held its annual Hsieh Nien Fan dinner to thank Taiwanese government officials for their cooperation during the previous year, and to provide unparalleled networking opportunities to member companies.
“We have seen several good years,” said Tung, “and for that we are deeply thankful.” According to Tung, AmCham corporate membership has soared by more than 40 percent in the past four years.
